Section 5 - Health Hazard Data
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: May be harmful by inhalation,
ingestion, or skin
absorption. Direct mist is irritating to the eyes, mucous
membranes and upper respiratory tract. Prolonged contact can
cause skin irritation.
PRIMARY ROUTES OF EXPOSURE: Skin or eye contact, inhalation,
or swallowing.
INHALATION: Excessive inhalation of high concentrations may
cause headaches, vomiting, and coma.
EYE CONTACT: Liquid or mist directly in eyes will irritate
the eyes
SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged or repeated contact may irritate the
skin.
SWALLOWING: Swallowing large quantities causes headaches,
nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea, in extreme
cases perhaps unconsciousness.
CHRONIC EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE: Prolonged or repeated exposure
to high concentrations can produce severe or fatal CNS
Depression.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: None in
normal low level applications.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES
IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air. Give artificial respiration
if not breathing. Get immediate medical attention.
IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with lots of
running water for 15 minutes, if irritation persists get
immediate medical attention.
IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT: Immediately wash skin with soap and
water. If irritation persist after washing get medical
attention.
IF SWALLOWED: If conscious, immediately induce vomiting by
giving 2 glasses of water and sticking a finger down the
throat. Get immediate medical attention. Do not give
anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person.
Keep the victim's head below his hips while vomiting so he
does no breathe the vomitus into his lungs.
CARCINOGENICITY: This material is not considered to be a
carcinogen by the national Toxicology Program, the
international agency of research on cancer, or the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Section 7 - Spill, Leak, & Disposal Information
SPILL OR LEAKAGE PROCEDURES: Information provided here is in
the event of a major spill of 55 gallons or more. Wear
protective equipment including rubber boots, rubber gloves,
rubber apron, and a self-contained breathing apparatus in
the pressure demand mode or a supplied-air respirator. If
the spill or leak is small, a full face piece air-purifying
cartridge respirator equipped for organic vapors may be
satisfactory. In any event, always wear eye protection. For
small spills or drips, mop or wipe up and dispose of in
DOT-approved waste containers. For large spills, contain by
diking with soil or other non-combustible absorbent
materials, and then pump into DOT-approved waste containers,
or absorb with non-combustible sorbent material, place
residue in DOT-approved waste containers. Keep out of storm
drains, surface waters, and soil.
Comply with all applicable governmental regulations on spill
reporting, and handling and disposal of waste.
DISPOSAL METHODS: Dispose of contaminate product and
materials used in cleaning up spills or leaks in a manner
approved for this material. consult appropriate Federal,
State and Local regulatory agencies to ascertain proper
disposal procedures.
NOTE: Empty containers can have residues, gases and mists
and are subject to proper waste disposal, as above.
Section 8 - Safe Handling & Use Information
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: None required under normal
conditions of use. If risk of inhalation may occur,
respiratory protective equipment must be selected and used
in accordance with OSHA/NIOSH guidelines.
OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Eye wash facility.
STORAGE AND HANDLING: Maintain good housekeeping. Keep out
of direct sunlight and in a cool dry place. STORE ABOVE 32°
F (0°C)
VENTILATION: General room ventilation
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: For most conditions, no respiratory
protection should be needed; however, if condition warrant
select in accordance with OSHA/NIOSH guidelines.
EYE PROTECTION: For most conditions none required; however
if conditions of use are extreme and condition warrants wear
goggles. It is general recognized that contact lenses should
not be worn when working with chemicals because contact
lenses may contribute to the severity of an eye injury.
SKIN PROTECTION: None required in normal use conditions;
however if conditions of use warrant protection wear long
sleeved shirt, trouser, safety shoes, and gloves.
HYGIENIC PRACTICES: Wash hands after handling, as well as
any other affected skin areas. Avoid contact with food or
food preparatory surfaces. If this occurs wash the area
thoroughly with suitable detergent and water.
Section 9 - Special Precautions
PRECAUTION TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORING: Keep away
from heat, sparks, and flames. Maintain good housekeeping.
For maintenance of product quality, store in dry cool (under
110°F) warehouse conditions. STORE ABOVE 32° F
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
